Description
General Description: This position is in support of the startup and transition phase of the IDE/GTN Convergence (IGC) program. The person who fills this position must be able to apply extensive expertise, knowledge and principals; solve complex problems; and perform work without appreciable direction. This individual may function in project leadership roles and represent the organization as prime customer contact on significant technical matters.
Skill Description:
• Installation and configuration of COTS products including Business Objects, Informatica, Oracle, Webmethods, BEA Weblogic, BEA, Aqualogic, IBM MQ Series preferred;
• TCP/IP network troubleshooting;
• Interfacing with the Teradata RDBMS;
• Development of system sustainment processes;
• Administration/use of Unix (Solaris), HP/UX, and Windows required;
• Installation and maintenance of systems with the DISA DECC environment; and
• Travel required to/from Ogden, UT and Mechanicsburg, VA.
• The installation and maintenance of desktop computer systems running Microsoft Windows XP and Vista;
• Windows desktop and server administration;
• Administration of Active Directory domains;
• Windows patch management and the hardening of Windows desktop and server installation following the DISA provided Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG);
• Basic network configuration and troubleshooting including configuration of Juniper NetScreen VPN devices to support connectivity to DISA Enterprise
Computing Centers (DECC);
Experience:
Four (4) years of administration experience in tools and packages specified above.
Education:
Master’s, Bachelor’s or related degrees are to be in a mathematics, computer science, business or related field.
Security
IT 2 and adjudicated National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC) preferred. Must be U.S. citizen and possess or capable of obtaining a NACLC. Secret Clearance may be required later.
