Description
I am a semi-retired 45 year old professional violinist/fiddle player seeking any musicians who would be interested in performing for charity purposes. I would be interested in persons who play PIANO or GUITAR for the proposed jobs. The gigs would be played at nursing homes, children's hospitals, and such. Bookings can be arranged around personal schedule with ample reservations and preparation time.
I need someone who is interested in giving something of themselves for the Glory of the Lord.
Paying gigs, such as weddings and the like, may be in the future. I am person who is disabled, but desire to give enjoyment of others with my music. I desire to use my available free time to the best of my ability.
The music will be varied as to the general interest of the listeners. Baroque, Classical, Popular music from around 1900-1945, Old-Time Hymns and Traditional Fiddle tunes will be the predominate repertoire played. Pianists should possess a small electronic keyboard for easy travel and in case there is no "real" piano available. Acoustic guitar, preferably a classical guitarist, is what I may also consider.
The applicant should be well versed in a number of musical styles, no drinkers (smokers OK) and possess a desire to serve Our Lord Christ Jesus through music, given freely, to others.
