Hot Meal/Cold Read is a monthly program for actors, designed to help them improve their auditioning skills. In each session (held on the first Sunday of every month), participants will share a meal with a special guest speaker, representing a specific genre of the entertainment industry, including independent film, commercials, corporate videos, corporate videos, and theatre.
In addition to learning specific auditioning tips and techniques, participants will practice their cold-reading skills with copy provided by the guest speaker; their performances may be videotaped for review and direct feedback, at the instructor’s discretion.
March's program will focus on FILM with one of last year's favorite guest speakers: Bryan Ortiz of Film Classics Productions (www.filmclassicsproductions.com), the director of such award-winning short films as "Spiral", "Goodbye Digital or The Five Stages of Grief in Digital Dating", "Last Chance", "Four Minutes Till The End", and "The Big Scary German".
