Description
Director SCOTT STUBBE is now accepting submissions for THE MAENADS, a microbudget DV feature film. The film is an arty retelling of the Ancient Greek tragedy The Bacchae by Euripides.
We will be shooting late spring- summer; all shoot dates to be scheduled with actor input.
Most shooting locations are in Los Angeles and the northwest San Fernando Valley and are outdoor shoots involving moderate hiking difficulty.
BREAKDOWN:
INO, Female, 18-25, Any Race, Long dark hair, dancing, wild-eyed. Nudity, sheer costume. ENSEMBLE LEAD
AUTONOE, Female, 25-40, Any Race, Long dark hair, statuesque. Sheer costume. ENSEMBLE LEAD
AGAUE, Female, 35-50, Any Race, Long dark hair, commanding presence. ENSEMBLE LEAD
PENTHEUS, Male, Caucasian/Latino/Middle Eastern, 18-22 to appear younger. Thin, effeminate, expressive. Cross-dressing, partial nudity. LEAD
ATHAMAS, Male, Any Race, 30-50, Classical features, no tattoos. Shirtless (Greek costume).
ALSO SEEKING: SET PHOTOGRAPHER/ PRODUCTION ASSISTANT to take production stills, assist in lighting and crew duties, drive actors to locations. All pictures will be joint property of photographer and director.
Copy, credit, meals, transportation and/or gas stipend provided. There is some pay for some roles.
