Migration Project Manager
Description: Project manager is expected to lead a cross functional team consisting of Product Management, Sales, Network, IT, Sales, Care & Operations personnel in the implementation and execution of network and customer migrations and retirement of legacy systems and services.

Responsible for developing detailed Microsoft project plans and work breakdown structures across all phases of the project and managing to that plan. Scope of the plan includes offer strategy definition, technical solution definition, operations infrastructure, systems and tools development, and the development of a scalable project implementation plan. Must be able to matrix manage participation across multiple organizations and entities, document interface agreements, work with outside vendors to deliver capabilities, and propose innovative solutions to meet schedules.

Project managers will be responsible for driving the project end-to-end through the Corporate Framework Process. Must develop and document process changes as needed, track and report on metrics weekly, manage to project budget and must be able to handle multiple phases of the project concurrently.

Requirements: Technical knowledge and skills in data/IP communications technologies and service including Private Network Transport (PNT), Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), routers, switches; Frame Relay, ATM, MIS, NVPN/AVPN, Internet technologies and security. Demonstrated process definition and process engineering skills as well as technical project management skills required. Previous experience in large, multifaceted projects is a prerequisite. Prior experience with AT&T and SBC systems and services a highly desirable. Experience or background in network migrations or service consolidation is a plus. PMI and/or PMP certification is also a plus. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership and negotiating skills, and have demonstrated prior experience in leading multi-dimensional teams.
