MEET a GREAT Doggie

Ginger came to me at the age of about 6 or 8 weeks in July of 1998. She had one set of basic shots before she got her regular set. She was spayed by the San Francisco Humane Society and socialized in Doggie School.
Ginger knows most commands. She does well with small animals, but is definitely an alpha female dog. When you let her outside she will only bark once to come back in! If people pass the house she will bark a few times, if another dog/animal is nearby she will also bark, however she is NOT what is known as a barker.
To keep her occupied you can give her a cheap thrift store stuffy, or an old sock that you tie in a knot and give her. You have to give her the tennis ball, stuffy, or sock personally. She does not pick something off the floor that is lying around, nor does she take shoes!
When you are at your desk or do not want Ginger on your couch with you, you can throw a blanket, or even a towel on the floor and tell her to sit and then say down she will lie there near you for hours! If you bring a person into the house or yard, she will act very excited.
She will only jump in place not onto the person!!
I hope with all my heart she finds the love of a new companion. She is a good dog. She has mostly known love!!
If you are willing to give Ginger a trial home, please feel free to let me know how it is going. I really am totally at a loss of what to do. My future is NOT stable and would be even harder for her.
