Description
1997 RaceCraft 225" Dragster
1997 Race Craft 225" Wheelbase Dragster with a small block Chevy 434 stroker motor. Cage will fit larger driver I am 6 foot 1 inch and weight 225 lbs. Along with a 2001 26 foot dual 7000lb axles Haulmark Race trailer.
First, the most often asked questions. How fast will it go? During testing last fall of the alcohol carburetor I was using an easy launch and ran 8.56 seconds at 156 mph. Does it go straight? This dragster has won over $100,000 in bracket racing so it's fast and consistent. Why are you selling? I have advanced arthritis and am no longer able to race.
This dragster was last certified by NHRA in May of 2008 with quickest et permitted 6.00 seconds. It has a Ford 9" rear end with 4.11 gears. The transmission is a Powerglide with 1.76 gear/pro brake and electronic shifter. The engine is a 434" stroker motor built by Muscle Motors in Lansing, Michigan. Horsepower is 641 HP at 6500 rpm and peak torque 560 ft-lbs. at 5700 rpm. The cam is a Comp Cams Special roller with a gross value lift of .682". Carburetor is a 4150 Drag Race Alcohol Pro series conversion done by Advanced Product Design. Fuel pump is Magna Fuel 500. Ignition is a 7AL2 box with MSD coil and distributor. Crossover box is a Biondo Mega 450. A new radiator was installed last fall along with number 12 line and welded fittings. The tires both front and rear will need to be replaced this year.
The trailer interior walls are painted white and the floor has been covered with a Herculiner coating. There is a work bench with overhead storage cabinets. Included in the trailer are door shelf and trash container, oil can holder, two 5 gallon gas holders with three 5 gallon jugs, helmet and jacket holder/shelf, front nose holder, tent holder, and chair holder all by Clear 1. (Please note the helmet, tent; chairs are not included in this sale). For getting the dragster into the trailer there are two Tuff Paw ramps. There are rear wheel tie downs and a air cushion chassis stabilizer for the dragster. Also included is a spare tire and tire ramp in case of a flat tire on the trailer. Electrical for the trail includes a four circuit main installed and connected to plug in for generator. There is a slide out platform for your generator. There are three sets of double florescent tube lights along each side of the interior of the trailer with one double tube at the front of the trailer. I have two light buckets with lights for installation on the outside of the trailer. Standard 12v car battery powers the electric trailer tongue lift and the Warn Super Winch 4000 which has a remote control. To finish the wiring the outside lights need to be installed along with the switches for the interior/exterior lights. There are no outlets installed. After the dragster is loaded there is room in the rear of the trailer for a small quad. Trailer tires are in good condition with plenty of thread. There is no physical damage to the trailer. The only problem I have had with the trailer is the man door sticks at the bottom corner when closing.
