Description
I am a registered nurse and a student at Kent State University. I am studying disaster reponse to learn about how people with chronic illness managed during a disaster or evacuation. I would like to interview individuals who have a chronic illness (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease) and have experienced a disaster or been told to evacuate. I am also interested in talking to caregivers (spouse or friend) who may have helped.
This study will involve a 30-60 minute interview. Each person will receive $35 for time and transportation expenses. I will be in the New Orleans and southern Louisiana area from May 31 through June 6, 2009.
