Poon Productions presents: TERRE, a sexy dance-driven music spectacle performed in a nightclub setting.
Imagine 1930's strip tease meets Fox’s hit television show "So You Think You Can Dance" with each number physically out doing the last. Using an evocative brew of Hip Hop, Fosse's Jazz, Pole Dance, and the power and elegance of Kung Fu, TERRE communicates earthy and sensual movement through a techno-urban filter. The music is a World Fusion dance mix spun by a DJ accompanied by live African drumming. The result is urban club beats meets tribal trance.
TERRE is mind blowing virtuosity set to drum driven score where the dancers strip away layers of kimonos and corsets to to expose the buried treasure underneath. The audience will follow the cast of dancers around Cielo as they tear it up and tear it all off to reveal the feminine silhouette; the shape that inspired kings to wage wars, the same one that makes dance the most titillating art form.
Additional Information:
DJ Brian Burnside of “deepa grooves” will be spinning before, during and after the shows. TERRE is produced by Jordana Che Toback & Tom Rossi.
