WINE EVENT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR DOGS IN NEED
Las Vegas, NV – The Third Annual Weim & Wine event, produced by the Las Vegas Weimaraner Club & Rescue, is set for Saturday, September 26th from 6pm to 9pm at the $4.5 MIL “Green” Marquis Estate (located east of the strip). This always impressive event provides funds needed for boarding, veterinary care, training and sanctuary for abandoned Weimaraners and Weim mixes.
Weim & Wine is open to everyone and sponsored by a number companies including Blue Heron Homebuilders, The Palms, Town Center Animal Hospital, Petographique.com, Chien Vivant Couture, Furevermine.com, Petco Foundation, Henderson Restaurant Supply, Niki J Sands, Talbots, Target, & The Soggy Dog. Tickets are only $20 online in advance www.weimwine.com or $25 cash at the door. Donate an old cell phone and receive $5 off the door price. Guests can stroll or take the elevator to enjoy all 8,800 square feet of the estates ultra modern décor and latest in green home technologies. Ever flowing specialty wines, beer, vodka and non-alcohol beverages will be poured while heavy appetizers are enjoyed. The event also features interspersed entertainment, silent & live auction items and a live auctioneer.
“We are so thrilled with the support we’ve received for this event,” said Club President Jocelyn Arter. “Last year we had over 300 guests attend! Thanks to our supportive guests, wine lovers and dog lovers, we are hopeful to outshine last year’s event.”
The Las Vegas Weimaraner Club & Rescue is dedicated to the well being, education, & care of displaced rescue dogs. This all-volunteer group provides shelter for the animals in need, veterinary care, food, training and help in finding permanent homes for the dogs in their care. “Our goal is to find each animal a forever home, but lately we are finding that the animals are staying in our care nearly twice as long due to the poor economy,” said Arter.
“Owners are being forced to abandon their four-legged loved ones because their homes are foreclosing,” said Arter. Her concerns are that their financial needs have doubled because of the difficult economic conditions.
The organization sustains itself on money raised through events and donations while they continue to prepare all their rescued dogs for wonderful forever homes. All donations are tax deductible because The Las Vegas Weimaraner Club & Rescue is a 501 {c} (3) non-profit Public Charity. EIN#26-0566077
