Job description:
This position is primarily responsible for providing financial support to the Business Unit. This is a key contributor within the Activision team with responsibility for AMP's financial close, reporting and analysis, project accounting as well as the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and periodic forecasting. This "hands on" position ensures that accounting transactions are performed in a controlled, timely and accurate manner, and that reporting is accurate, meaningful and on time. This individual will also work on a variety of projects as an individual contributor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Drive improvements to operating margin by identifying net revenue growth and cost saving opportunities
* Deliver accurate, timely and complete monthly and quarterly financial information in accordance with ATVI corporate guidance.
* Provide leadership in the development of short and long term financial planning including the annual operating plan, periodic financial forecasting, and the three year operating plan
* Provision standard and ad hoc financial information to all AMP cost centers to optimize their decision making processes and to allow them to identify and resolve deviations from AMP operating plans
* Play an active role as finance representative in various activities
Position Qualifications:
a) Education:
o B.A., Accounting or Finance
o CPA / MBA a plus
b) Special Knowledge or Skills:
o Excel knowledge required
o Oracle experience a plus
o Hyperion experience a plus
o Video gaming enthusiast or knowledge of the gaming industry a plus
c) Prior Experience:
5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, planning, accounting, and/or reporting roles (Software, Consumer Packaged Goods, or Retail industry a plus)
