Position Description Position is responsible for manufacturing engineering planning, tooling, and support for final assembly operations on the 787 final assembly in North Charleston, SC.
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Integration & Support Engineering. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Acquires resources through the skill teams, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Determines and analyzes production and tooling sequence philosophies. Oversees identification and implementation of company wide advanced manufacturing technologies. Maintains responsibility, accountability, and authority for activity on multidisciplinary teams. Develops innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems. Serves as a consultant to upper management on long-range planning for advanced technologies and products.

Other Job related information Please note that this is a revolving assignment between 1st and 2nd shift. Prior management and Manufacturing Engineering experience strongly desired. Some transition work for this position may occur in the Puget Sound area. Ability to relocate permanently to Charleston, South Carolina is required. All employees will be on the Boeing Charleston benefit structure. All Boeing Commercial Airplane Charleston positions require an online pre-employment assessment test.
