qualifications/requirements
bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / ged with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a filed services)
additional eligibility qualifications ge will only employ those who are legally authorized to work, time and expense sheets on a complete timely and thorough basis
maintain knoweldge of the report system to the extent required for timely and accurate input of field information necessary
be knowledgeable of and conduct work activities in compliance with the ge energy safety manual and safety policy & stanadrds
exercise good judgment in controlling costs and expenditures of company funds
protect the company\'s capital investments by properly safeguarding and maintaining that equipment for which responsible
make contributions to the continued development and refinement of installation and field services (i&fs) engineering standards and procedures as they apply to designated specialty and to conduct work efforts in accordance thereof
perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, calibration, organize and supervise fe and technician / electrician crews performing field service work

plan, securing quotations, as required, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning
perform hands-on field service and repair of power delivery and / or drives and control equipment
plan, ordering materials,
essential responsibilities in this role of field engineer (fe), prepare and / or instruct both internal and external training programs, ordering materials, repair and maintenance at customer\'s sites
develop and furhter exapnd technical knowledge and expetrise, preparing job sttaus reprots, reprots to customers, securing quotations, repair and calibration after installation
respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, currnetly recongized indsutry standards for engineering abiilty
perform administrative functions; such as wriitng technical reports, operation, preparing job status reports, to imaprt and perpteuate field engineering and / or proudct knowledge in area of speciailzation
stirve to acheive the higehst leevl of customer satisafction in all transcations and relatinoships
develop and further expand technical knowledge and expertise currently recognized industry standards for engineering ability
maintain knowledge of applciable proudct line warrnaties and accopmlish effetcive wararnty adminitsration such as writing technical reports, reports to customers.you will utiilze professional engineering pracitces and thoguht procseses to incerase a customer\'s productivity and resolve complex power system and process control issues, s. state, china or canada provinces california
