HSE Systems, a 3E Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Support Services Technician. The employee in this position performs applications programming work to provide support for client computer/software systems and users. The position also involves supporting the company’s implementation and upgrade projects by providing development, modification and installation of application software. It serves in the capacity of Primary and/or Secondary Account Manager for clients.
Responsibilities:
* Provides application development and quality assurance effort in the completion of project tasks as described in project request work orders.
* Provides troubleshooting, problem correction, assistance and instruction to client staff remotely to resolve software problems or to generally support the client’s use of the MSDgen software. Determines client needs; recommends and implements solutions to ensure minimum delay and effective operation for system users.
* Develops, maintains and updates technical documentation such as system configurations, procedures, problem fixes and client support procedures. Develops, updates and distributes user instructional documentation as needed.
* Occasional travel to client sites via air and/or ground may be required.
Qualifications:
* Considerable knowledge of computer systems, office automation and Windows software applications.
* SQL programming experience a must.
* Ability to troubleshoot common software problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
* Superior customer service skills.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred.
* 3-5 years of progressively responsible related experience in an information technology position.
* Or, any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
