Position Summary:
POSITION SUMMARY:
ACCO Brands Corporation, one of the world’s largest suppliers of branded office products, with annual revenues of nearly $2 billion, is seeking a Strategic Pricing Manager. The Pricing Manager is the subject matter expert for pricing methodology. By analyzing competitive and market intelligence in comparison to outbound sales this role will be developing the pricing strategy and presenting their recommendations to leadership. To be succesful in this role it is necessary to take an unbiased, data driven approach to manage and execute the pricing process.
The Pricing Manager is responsible for developing and ensuring adherence to the following major processes at ACCO:
• Designing elements for consideration in the Pricing Strategy
• Setting recommendations for customer prices
• Administering pricing
• Measuring pricing performance
• Ensuring SOX Compliance
• People Management/Leadership

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
Designing elements for consideration and Execution of pricing strategy
• Coordinate with marketing on development of channel specific price strategies
• Act as the central repository of information on Marketplace, Cost, Competition, Consumer Price Drivers and ensure there are effective process for gathering this information within Sales and Marketing
• Responsible for developing and utilizing effective Pricing Analysis tools to manage process for updating Product Line Pricing and finalizing pricing strategy by Product Line and sku (where appropriate).
Recommend Customer and Consumer Prices
• Ensure ACCO’s customer prices and programs are fair and equitable across the customer base
• Work with Product Management to communicate pricing to Sales
• Coordinate with ACCO Canada to develop strategies for managing the Gap between US and Canadian ACCO prices
• Provide assessment of alternative pricing strategies, list prices, new product prices
Administer Prices
• Ensure accuracy of pricing data in the Oracle system targeting to eliminate pricing errors.
• Ensure customer prices (and programs) comply with agreed upon pricing strategy, and that program calculations are made accurately.
• Define and manage the process for preparing, submitting, approving and maintaining data for List, Net and Exception pricing.
Measure Performance
• Define Key Performance Indicators for Pricing
• Manage KPI review and follow up process
• Provide ad hoc performance reporting as required
Improve the Pricing Process
• Define and execute projects aimed at continually improving the pricing process
People Management/Leadership
• Develop and mentor direct reports
• Establish goals and objectives and continuously review performance against objectives
Position Qualifications:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent is required, MBA preferred
• Prior experience in facilitating pricing strategy decisions with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Sr. Management to reach agreements on strategy, tactics and implementation is a must
• Proven success managing a Pricing and Trade/Rebate Program process improvement projects coordinating team members from across the organization (Sales, Marketing, Finance, IS, Operations, etc.)
• People Management/Leadership experience is preferred
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills required, Oracle and/or Access knowledge a plus
• 4+ years experience in Sales and/or Marketing in a contract pricing environment is a plus
