The systems engineering requirements for Aegis CSEA include system design, development, integration and test, incorporation of capability upgrades, installation support, certification test support, Developmental Test/Operational Test (DT/OT) test support, and delivery to land based test sites and ships. Boeing is seeking candidates to help apply our world-class systems engineering skills and maritime mission system experience to enhance the performance and functionality of the Aegis weapon system by competing for the Aegis CSEA contract. As a Systems Engineering member of the Boeing Aegis CSEA team the selected candidate will provide technical knowledge to evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and develop system level hardware and software requirements for the Aegis combat system. Typical responsibilities include: participating on technical teams, supporting technical planning, performing systems engineering for system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessments, trade studies, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Additional responsibilities may include: leading technical teams, ensure the conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Providing guidance, participating in technical reviews, supporting risk assessments, participating in risk board activities, identifying and implementing affordability strategies, documenting requirements in specifications, documenting trade study results, preparing and presenting briefing materials. REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience with a complex combat weapon system such as the Aegis Weapon System. Minimum of 4 years of related systems engineering experience. Understanding of industry standard systems and software engineering processes and procedures.
