JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this position is the maintenance of the fixed asset module in Oracle, general ledger processing and account reconciliations.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
This position acts within the constraints of Financial Accounting Standards, Corporate Policies and established departmental procedures. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Coordinate monthly general ledger activities including journal entries and report generation
· Prepare accurate general ledger account reconciliations including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, unbilled receivables, prepaids and other current assets, intercompany receivables/payables with non-US subsidiaries, deferred revenue and other current liabilities
· Maintain fixed assets and intangible assets module; report on the same by preparing roll-forward schedules and certain account analysis; take leadership role with the periodic physical inventory
· Maintain foreign currency exchange rates
· Serve as primary backup for royalty calculations and analysis
· Assist with SOX audit by serving as SOX management tester
· Verify consolidation/elimination journal entries
· Assist as needed with the preparation of the SEC 10-Q and 10-K documents
· Assist with updating standard costs and transfer pricing in cost management system
· Provide support during external quarterly reviews and annual audit
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Formal Training:
BA/BS in Accounting (preferred) or Finance required; CPA (or currently sitting for exam) preferred
Experience:

Four years of accounting experience required
*
Experience in a manufacturing environment with international operations a plus
Knowledge, Skill & Ability:
* Ability to prepare analyses, reports and presentations
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
* Excellent organizational skills solid computer skills
* Extensive experience with general ledger software
* Oracle ERP experience preferred but not required
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals at various levels within and outside the company at various geographic locations; also work well with associates within and outside the company
* Ability to perform assignments within tight deadlines, withstand a stressful working environment and ability to work overtime on a short notice as needed
