Req Description JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Manager, Marketing Automation, the Reporting Specialist provides continuous analysis of industry data, market information, and business metrics to provide a means of supporting marketing campaign, target account, and pricing practice strategy and program development. Also has primary responsibility for preparing the Commercial Marketing metrics reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Researches and analyzes marketing data to identify trends and provide measurement of results. Obtains information from ABB Sales, channels, and customers to assist in developing appropriate marketing strategies and programs.
Assists Product Management and Price Negotiations teams in maintaining competitor information system that provides rapid, up-to-date information for short and long term planning. Prepares competitor analyses depicting key activities and statistics.
Maintains package of key business metrics to provide analysis of effectiveness of marketing programs, information to support promotional and target account activities, analysis of pricing practices and price quality, and evaluation of lead management reporting and programs.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft SQL capability to facilitate collecting, analyzing, and developing reports from available data sets. Experience developing reports in reporting platforms like Microsoft Analysis Services, Microsoft Reporting Services, Crystal Reports and Cognos is desired.
Responsible for engaging appropriate sales, channel, customer, marketing, and industry resources to establish networks for capturing needed data and trends in support of analysis and reporting activities.
Provides support for industry reporting needs including overseeing Nation Electrical Manufacturer?s Association (NEMA) reporting.
Maintains and oversees ABB product information provided to channel partners via industry data services like Trade Services and IDEA (IDW).
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Education Bachelors degree preferred
Interpersonal Skills Must be a team player
Work Experience EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or elated field plus up to 3 year of hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting. Alternately, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
