Position Description The Missiles and Unmanned Airborne Systems (MUAS) Strategy function is responsible for overall strategy development and planning for the $5B MUAS Division within Boeing Defense, Space & Security. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to truly shape the future of the Aerospace & Defense industry and to participate in building strategies for the most successful military aircraft company in the world. As a member of the MUAS Strategy core team, you will help lead projects and drive the development of insightful strategic analysis across MUAS\'s entire product portfolio. Responsibilities include: market analysis and portfolio prioritization; technology and capability gap assessment; development of strategic rationale and cultivation for M&A candidates; building and managing of strategic alliances and partnerships; competitive assessments, campaign strategy development and support; and the annual strategic planning process. MUAS Strategy team members work within project teams made up of fellow strategy personnel, functional experts and business unit representatives focused on missiles and unmanned systems issues and opportunities within Boeing Military Aircraft (BMA). A successful candidate should have an understanding of the bigger strategic picture, but also have the ability to dive deep into the key strategic and tactical issues of the businesses within BMA and the larger marketplace. Must be able to work independently to generate key strategic analysis, but also have the ability to present the insights from this analysis to senior leaders within the Division. The candidate must also be able to work extremely collaboratively across organizational boundaries on a daily basis, specifically developing close ties with the BMA strategy team along with the strategy teams of the other divisions within BMA. Other Requirements Include: demonstration of clear, effective and organized written communications; ability to defend strategic assumptions and analysis through critical reviews and lively debate; prior experience with financial modeling; demonstrated proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint; demonstrated experience in strategy development; generation of insights from quantitative and qualitative data to explain implications on business strategy; ability to build business cases for new concepts and business ideas; deep knowledge of the aerospace & defense industry and its related technologies. A technical undergraduate degree is preferred, or experience in a technology or aerospace & defense company. Masters degree in business administration preferred.
