Position Summary:
The Help Desk Technician is the first point of contact for staff and residents seeking technical assistance for facility-wide technology issues. The Help Desk Technician provides technical support over the phone, in person, or electronically and logs all Help Desk interactions into the Help Desk ticketing system.
This is primarily a M-F, 1p-6p position; however, some off-shift and/or weekend hours may be required on occasion.
Requirements
This position requires a friendly presence and helpful attitude, as well as good interpersonal skills and communication. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating system, and other common software applications; experience with Nortel phone system is a plus. Previous help desk experience is a strong plus. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task.
