Position Description Satisfies requirements for non-production materials, portable tools (capital/expense), perishable tools, shop supplies in support of manufacturing by utilizing inventory management systems and processes. Analyzes products using industry specifications, procedures, engineering product definition and manufacturing processes ensuring compliance to process requirements. Identifies, analyzes, and recommends appropriate solutions to meet those requirements. Facilitates the acquisition of commodities authorized by manufacturing using procurement systems and processes to satisfy manufacturing requirements. Reviews inventory stock usage to utilize resources cost effectively by following inventory management systems, methodologies and methods.
Assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests. Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues. Works with other organizations to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards. Provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts. Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products. Investigates changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests. Analyzes, procures and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services. Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules. Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications. Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products. Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution. Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory. Works under very limited supervision. Must have experience with Cribmaster, Quackenbush motors, as well as, other power feed motors.

Complete knowledge of function specific specialized tools (e.g., sheet metal--cornice brakes, metal shears, pneumatic rivet squeezers, cold-hardening kits; electrical--crimpers, wire routing tools, multimeters)[ + ] General Shop Processes
Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).[ + ] Inventory Control
Complete knowledge of inventory requirements planning (e.g., Lot sizes, Work in Process [WIP], Inventory Burndown), management, and control (e.g., Kanban, Just In Time [JIT], Kitting, Point of Use [POU], inventory turn rate).
Basic Qualifications For Consideration Do you have at least two years of inventory control experience in a production environment?
Do you have at least two years of experience with set up, maintenance, and tool distribution in a production tool room?
Do you have at least two years\' experience with the acquisition, setup, repair and functional operation of Quackenbush and/or other positive and power feed tools?
Typical Education/Experience AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
