clinical applications coordinator - full time - health information technology
under general supervision, provides system analysis and ongoing support of multi-service clinical software applications; troubleshoots problems and provides software training services. the position requires ability to sit for long period of time.researches new rules and regulations to update compliance guidelines and procedures. meets with users and medical and technical staff to analyze problems and develop technical solutions.
minimum expeirence qualification
non-supervisory- two (2) years of comupter sofwtare and data analysis experience.
may be called out to work off-shift in emergency situations. the duties involve serving as the coordinator for all rpms clinical packages, consulting with the serivce lines and their staff in customizing software and training individuals in the daily operation of the packages as well as how the packages integrate with each other.

coordinates the implementation and ongoing support of mutli-service clinical software applications used in the hospital and clinic setting for anthc and the alaska tribal helath sytsem (aths).
checks applications for opertaing efficiency; identifies patterns in the problems reported and recommends programming, process and training improvements.
sikll in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other ihs, anthc and aths employees.participates in coordination meetings to resolve health records issues.
periodically reviews site parameters and local tables with each application for accuracy and completeness.
us dollar (usd). coordinates resolution of software effectiveness issues between the end users and the informatics coordinator.

skill in troublehsooting computer software applications in a mulitple operating system envirnoment.text-integartion utiilty (tiu), case manaegment, health sumamry and view pateint reocrd (vpr), but not limtied to pateint care compnoent (pcc), the multi-service applications that support the indian health service resource and patient management system (rpms), electronic health record (ehr) are defined as.incumbent also works with other application coordinators with responsibility for a broad range of activities surrounding the implementation of a comprehensive, standardized integrated health care information system.
