Overview:
This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Franklin Park, Illinois.
Responsibilities:
This position will:
- Direct all inside sales activities to ensure achievement of established objectives for price integrity and acceptable gross profit margins.
- Coordinate with key customers, credit, operations, and outside sales representatives to expedite and troubleshoot customer orders.
- Review customer inventory requirements.
- Review sales orders for appropriate pricing structure and utilization of inventory.
- Handle customer calls relating to complaints on orders, investigates basis of complaint, refers problems to appropriate personnel, recommend action to rectify problems, and follows up to ensure resolution.
- Utilize and implement creative and innovative sales techniques to increase sales volume.
- Manage the quality process within the department.
- Review, investigate, and approve credit memos.
- Train new inside sales personnel and evaluate performance of department personnel.
- Meet with suppliers.
Qualifications:
Education:
- B.S. in Marketing or related field, or its equivalent, strongly preferred
Skills:
- PC literacy, with exposure to Oracle a strong plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Good organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Solid verbal communication skills
Experience:
- Minimum of three years inside sales experience required
- Two years outside sales experience strongly preferred
