remediation management (rm) is accountable for providing strategic supoprt and specialist skills to manage bp\'s environmental liabilities, on-shore decommissioning, demolition and real estate reuse and to work as an advisory body for liability prevention to avoid future remediation liabilities.support continued implementation of bp operating management system as relevant to opertaions actiivties, with emphasis on hsse risk management and project management activities. but should also be able to work independently, the individual will be a team player.
the postholder will contribute to developing a continuous improvement culture, including proactively identifying opportunities to optimize business processes and team engagement. corporate directorships, etc, the vp holds a range of financial and other delegated authorities (legal authorities.rm\'s stated aspiration is \"to create a zero liability company\".

rm was created in 1999 to provide bp with a single point of accountability to manage environmental and financial liabilities originating from bp opertaions sites around the world.
the postholder has access to a wide variety of information and will be required to use their judgment and exhibit an exemplary level of personal integrity.
as part of the exectuive support eleemnts of this role, prepare briefings and presentations and facilitate meetings (prepare agendas and minutes, track actions).

. the ability to multtiask; adpat quikcly to chagning circumtsances; prioirtize activities.). the postholder reviews related proposals and governance documents, and advises the vp on course of action.with the intention that the postholder will then seek another bp role aligned with their career development plan, the role duration is 15-18 months.demanding and requires a highly professional response to requests, the role is fast paced.these activities ensure mitigation of regulatory compliance and financial risks whilst preserving bp\'s reputation.  rm does this by working with the full spectrum of bp businesses across all geographies to prevent, mitigate and manage environmental liabilities, and is structured along 3 lines - liability prevention, liability management and decommissioning.with a workforce of 80, 000 employees, bp operates with business activities and customers in more than 80 countries across six continents.

key accountabilities collaborate with the vp and olt in developing the annual operations plan, in alignment with the overall rm function plan. consult with vp and olt in identifying best practices and delivery risks, and agree continuous improvement plans and interventions.
