Position Summary:
Kensington Technology, the technology division of ACCO Brands Corporation, one of the world\'s largest suppliers of branded office products, with annual revenues of nearly $2 billion is currently seeking a Senior Global Product Manager. The Senior Global Product Manager will be develop a comprehensive strategy for Kensington’s B2B product portfolio identifying new opportunities where appropriate, to drive profitable growth. They will provide product definition and plans, create market requirements and roadmaps to optimize Kensington’s existing Connect, Ergo and Cases product portfolios and/or to create the next generation of new products. Working with the other Global Product Managers, Corporate Marcom and Regional Product Marketing they will develop Global B2B launch strategies by key seeling season to enusre successful product introduction. Responsible for achieving annual global gross trade sales and gross margin contribution for assigned categories.
Additional Responsibilities will include:

Develop an intimate understanding of the global B2B customer, channel and end users, communicates to development, operations and regional sales and marketing to improve existing product offer and enhance long term portfolio strategy.

Consult with ACCO corporate counsel on IP related issues.
*
Mentor other GPMs as requested.
*
Assist Director of Global Product Management in the establishment and execution of key business and product planning processes.
*
Analyze current B2B market situation, competition and customer requirements to define business and product portfolio strategy, identifying opportunities to drive competitive advantage, expand share and grow revenues in the B2B market.
*
Review Kensington’s global B2B business performance versus objective, modifying strategies as appropriate based on results.
*
Lead development of B2B strategy working closely with GPMs of non-assigned categories, development teams, finance, regional marketing and sales.
*
Identify new growth areas, new technologies and emerging opportunities in the B2B market. Promotes use of new technologies and industry leading trends to drive innovation within the B2B portfolio. Creates new business models to take advantage of identified opportunities, as required
*
Work with Regional teams to develop a B2B channel strategy that capitalizes on opportunities and mitigate threats for the B2B categories
*
Identify and Develop partnerships which increase Kensington’s product value proposition and relevance in the B2B market
*
Coordinate with the security category to ensure alignment within the B2B marketplace
*
Drive product strategy including development of market requirements, value propositions / positioning and pricing strategy for assigned categories.
*
Identify opportunities to expand market share.
*
Create MRDs, ensures they reflect winning product strategies.
*
Collaborate with development and key customers to create products and validate early product definitions.
*
Ensure that developed products meet strategic objectives and profitability goals.
*
Know global competitors for assigned categories inside and out, including their business models and global channel and product strategies. Uses this knowledge to drive differentiated and winning product strategies. Monitors global competitive activity and leads development of competitive response strategies and plans as needed.
*
Communicate customer and channel feedback to engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s) and to drive new product development.
*
Track and analyze Kensington’s global business performance versus objective for assigned products.
*
Function as a central resource within the organization as product(s) move through their lifecycle, directing strategies for all lifecycle phases including EOL and replacement of products. Works with regional teams to ensure pricing moves are in alignment with category positioning and long term strategy.

Be the “Product Category Champion” within the organization for assigned product categories, supporting regional product marketing managers and sales as needed. Act as company spokesperson with press and key customers as required.Leads Global B2B Launch planning by selling season working closely with other GPMs. Corporate Marcom and Regional Marketing Teams.

Develop high level B2B marketing messages/ positioning by launch window.
*
Develop B2B launch strategies, timelines, activities and deliverables.
*
Driveslaunch pricing strategies in line with category market positioning and financial objectives for assigned categories.
*
Create product content, marketing and sales tools for assigned categories.Understands and anticipate customers’ needs by conducting and analyzing formal and informal global market research.
*
Actively seeks regular feedback from regional product marketing managers, vendors, salespeople, key customers and channel partners.
*
Integrate voice of the customer feedback (customer and channel) into business and portfolio strategies and product development plans.
Position Qualifications:
*
Minimum undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business. MBA or other advanced degree required.
*
Minimum of five+ years experience as a global product or brand management in the technology industry.
*
Experience working in the B2C market with the retail channel.
*
Strategic thinker with solid analytical skills
*
Deep understanding of PC technology, with passion for technology and products
*
Customer-Focused with a strong external market orientation
*
Exceptional Planning and Organizational Skills, proven ability to establish and drive integrated business, product and market planning processes.

Ability to travel to worldwide Kensington locations, customers, channel partners and vendors: 10 – 20%.
