Req Description Job Description for NAM Region Security Manager
Information and Intelligence
o Collect, analyze and report information/ intelligence as a regular support to ABB Group security, regional and sub regional managers for strategic and tactical decision making.
o Liaise with local authorities and friendly governmental organizations
o Liaise with other companies in order to explore a shared view of threats and to seek possible common security solutions.
o Create a local security network
o Perform Security assessments of current sites and possible future projects/ sites
Planning and training
o Establish and update Region/ Country Security Assessment/ Analysis
o Establish and update Region/ Country Security Routines and procedures
o Establish and execute a sub regional/ Country Security Development Plan
o Train and educate ABB staff, local employees and short term visitors on Security Routines
o Organize secure transportation for regular and intermittent traffic (meet and greet routines and Travel Code of Conduct) within region/ country (materiel as well as visitors, staff, specialists etc)
o Act as Regional Crisis Coordinator, supporting the Region Manager when a Crisis Management Team is activated
o Ensure Crisis Management teams are in place for all key ABB sites and provided with appropriate core documentation
o Provide training to Crisis Management teams where necessary
o Be able to plan and handle a substantial Security Budget
Policy
? Review all ABB NAM Policies from a Security Perspective and make changes where appropriate
Preparation/ Follow up/ Control
o Assist ABB Division and Group/ Region Security in supporting the ABB divisions with Risk Reviews for possible future projects
o Perform Security audits on running projects/ sites
o De-conflicting when security interests do not match with other interests
Education Bachelors Degree is highly preferred but not required.
Interpersonal Skills
Work Experience Candidates with broad military/ police/ security background and substantial experience in Mexico and/ or other central American countries with focus on organized crime is highly desired and preferred. Experience leading security functions and operations within a corporate environment is also highly desired and preferred. Candidates with an armed forces background (Special Forces, Special Operations) and/or FBI, CIA, Secret Service are of the highest interest.
Fluent in Spanish Language is required.
