Wyndham Vacation Ownershipcurrently seeks anAttorney to support its litigation and resort management functions.The successful candidate will have practical experience in litigation and related areas sufficient to assess claims asserted, supervise outside counsel, deal with issues relating to managed resorts and provide advice to company managers. The candidate who assumes this role will be responsible for the following specific tasks:
Litigation Functions:
* Supervision of non-employment litigation involving all Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc. ("WVO") subsidiaries, including the management of outside counsel and establishment of litigation strategy.
* Providing daily advice and counseling to business units, as needed, regarding disputes that could result in litigation.
* Providing regular reports to senior management regarding the status of pending litigation.
* Managing, adjusting, and settling pre-litigation tort claims asserted against WVO developed and managed resorts.
* Proactively seeking ways to reduce WVO's exposure and expenses resulting from litigation
* Management of special projects as assigned by WVO General Counsel.
Resort Operations Functions:
* Providing general legal advice and support to internal clients (including regional managers, site managers, and other resort management personnel) on all matters relating to or arising from managed resorts and the resort management division of WVO.
* Drafting, reviewing, researching and negotiating various corporate and transactional documents on behalf of WVO, including without limitation management and service provider agreements, releases, cost sharing and use agreements leases, rentals contracts and purchase agreements.
* Interpretation and the analyzing of condominium and timeshare documents, including declarations, covenants and bylaws, and providing advise to resort management in the understanding and operation of property documents.
* Preparation and review of various corporate and operational documents and agreements on behalf of the various managed associations, and the research, review and response to complaints, policies and other issues or concerns of the association and resort as they arise. In addition, providing advice to site personnel so that they may better service the managed associations and various Club operations.

* Undergraduate and law school degree
* Admission to practice before the bar of at least one jurisdiction and admitted as authorized house counsel in FL, if not admitted in FL
* 2-4 years of practicing experience (2 years in litigation)
* Strong drafting and negotiation skills
* Ability to travel when required by events
* Timeshare/Hospitality experience preferred but not required
* Participation in jury and bench trials, with significant "second chair" experience is preferred
* Participation in and knowledge of class action matters is also preferred
