Req Description JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Sales & Operations Planning Manager the SOP Analyst utilizes their experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. The S&OP process includes planning for Product Availability, Finished Goods Inventory Management, Demand Management, Production Planning, and Deployment for all products within the New Berlin Operations responsibilities. The SOP Analyst plays an important role in the organization that services multiple LBU?s of the ABB AP NAM Division in the Low Voltage Products Business. Inventory Management encompasses determining inventory requirements and maintaining adequate stocks and supplies. It also consists of developing and implementing state-of-the-art methods and practices to optimize inventory levels based upon customer requirements and business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Responsible for taking steps to improve S&OP forecast accuracy
? Gather forecast information from key stakeholders, analyze and challenge assumptions
? Run analysis and forecast of relevant SOP data to be utilized for input to determining future plans for the Demand Management process
? Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve projected departmental / functional trade-offs and supply / demand imbalances aligning Marketing, Sales, Production, and Logistics plans.
? Participate in driving ongoing S&OP process and reporting tool design improvements through continuous benchmarking against best-in-class references
? Help develop and implement ways to create eliminate manual handoffs and touch points in the current SOP process
? Help define and track relevant departmental and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
? Develop accurate, consistent, and enhancements to the inventory reporting structure
? Monitor and maintain inventory levels to achieve defined turns objectives
? Perform with assistance from Buyers, inventory level adjustments (quantity and price variance analysis)
? Work closely with the Buyers to make adjustments and optimize the supply chain min/max and automated order quantities to assure customer fulfillment
? Maintenance and accountability for high levels of customer service (internal and external)
Education Bachelors degree preferred
Interpersonal Skills Strong organizational skills
Work Experience TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
? Minimum 5 years of business and planning experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment
? Good working experience of Supply Chain and Inventory Management
? Experience in process re-engineering and change management.
? Strong analytical skills and ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data
? Good negotiation and communication skills.
? Good influencing and decision making skills.
? Team player who can facilitate successful project work, operating to deadlines
? Experience of dealing with results, metrics and data management and desire to create and build new processes
? Thorough understanding of SAP as well as APICS or ISM certification. Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college and three years related inventory control experience. Experience in an SAP environment is required to fully utilize both capabilities and functionality. Advanced computer literacy (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
