job function qct chipset architecture is looking for a staff chipset platform systems architect in the media processor segment such as digital media adapters, set-top boxes, blu-ray players and digital tv. semiconductor, design, board level design or development
responsibilities
education requirements required: bachelor\'s,
<li> understanding of sw archietcture and impact on performance & power
skills/experience <li> ms with 7 yrs or bs with 10 yrs experience in system or chipset development for wireless/handheld applications
<li> rf design or systems experience
<li> power & clock generation and management
<li> platform architecture, testing experience
modeling and simulation tools - functionality, computer engineering and/or electrical engineering
preferred: master\'s, power, performance, computer engineering and/or electrical engineering, cost
<li> wireless technologies.and the layout of these compnoents on pcb, this team collaobrates with otehr qct temas to deifne the architecture and packgaing of the basbeand, pmic, auido and connetcivity compnoents.flexiiblity, scalability and reusability
<li> develop system requirements necessary to meet product features (performance, power, cost)
<li> development of architecture specifications including base band,
<li> analysis of product requirements and development of architectural specifications
<li> platform/chipset partition with emphasis on cost, rf subsystem requirements and interfaces
<li> defining chipset interfaces electrical and logical specifications ensuring consistency and plug & play functionality within product families, power management. the chipset architecture team defines partitioning, pcb complexity and area requirements, power and clock distribution network for qct chip-sets, chipset interface requirements.
