Overview:
This outside sales position reports to the Regional Sales Manager at our our Kennesaw, Georgia location. The Outside Sales Representative promotes and sells company products and services in accordance with sales policies and procedures. The territories covered include Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, with an emphasis on Florida.
Responsibilities:
This position will:
- Establish and maintain personal relationships with prospects and customers in the assigned territory in order to sell aerospace products and services
- Plan an itinerary of customer calls and develop a call pattern.
- Understand and provide feedback to customers regarding operational capabilities and enhancements.
- Develop a territory growth strategy.
- Demonstrate product capability and knowledge.
- Gather relevant data for tailored products.
- Prospect and develop new customers.
- Gather relevant data from customers in order to understand product requirements.
- Quote price, credit terms, delivery time, etc. in coordination with unit goals and directives
- Arrange for preparation of sales contracts and/or proposals.
- Prepare reports of calls, business transactions, and expenses.
- Service accounts after sales are made.
- Investigate customer complaints and product performance.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent, strongly preferred
- PC literacy required
- Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to make effective presentations to clients
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills with ability to initiate and sustain productive business relationships with customers
- Solid negotiation skills
- Solid business acumen with demonstrated knowledge of raw materials and/or exposure to the metals industry required
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years inside and/or outside sales experience in the metals distribution industry required
- Experience selling specialty metal products in the aerospace industry preferred.
