Operations Analyst

Minimum of 2 years in a tech support role in a large corporate environmentPrior experience with a wireless carrier and its IT infrastructure strongly preferred2-3 years experience in a fast-paced 24x7 operations environment in a technical support roleBasic knowledge of incident management or ticketing systems (remedy, service-now, etc)Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot & track escalated production issues via internal ticketing system (ServiceNow)- Conduct low-level system/application administration and assist in automating tasks- Gather & analyze data regarding system issues and compile post-mortem reports- Manage outage bridges and drive systems issues to resolution- Work with project management to ensure new and upcoming features incorporate appropriate operational requirements- Work with project management/QA team to ensure systematic production issues (bugs) are addressed in a timely fashion- Own production operational issues by issuing initial response, data gathering, tracking and resolution where possible, as well as following established escalation protocols.- Perform other activities and duties as requested, including documentation maintenance- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues in a complex technical environment. This includes the ability to understand business functions and how they flow through the application architecture.Strong working knowledge of the following technology areas:- Unix Administration- Windows Administration- Java/J2EE & J2EE Application Servers - Database navigation and understanding of data types- SQL- Database Stored Procedures- Windows and Unix Scripting- Network Architecture- Firewalls- Active Directory- Load Balancers- XML- ColdFusion- PHP - Web Services- Soap Calls- Familiar with various internet technologies (http, ftp, web servers, email)- Intermediate knowledge of languages such as HTML, XML, ColdFusion, PHP, JavaScript, SQL- Basic knowledge of system administration (Windows, Linux, Shell Scripting)- Basic Knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)- Basic Knowledge in testing software and systemsAssociates Degree in Computer Science, technical discipline required (Bachelors is preferred) OR equivalent experienceJoin TEKsystems® and get your career on the fast track.
