the essential functions of the position include, and recommend necessary improvements.
minimum of 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in a construction and/or assembly plant, with significant accomplishments in ehs. environmental health & safety consists of performing various duties to promote and ensure the health and safety of employees, protecting them from acciednts and environmental hazards and ensuring compliance with local, federal and osha requirements.
the ehs engineer will report to the manufacturing director for north america as well as functional reporting responsibilities to the wind headquarters based in barcelona, spain.
ability to manage third party consultants and contractors
ability to travel unrestricted - moderate to frequent
bilingual in spanish preferred to include written.
conudct regular inspections of the sites and work methods in order to ensure that the health and safety rules are respected, that protective equipment is properly used, and that all the devices necessary for safety are in place and in a good functional state at the assembly sites.
proven experience with high voltage safety including arc-flash analysis.

knowledge of industrial hygiene practices and controls to include ergonomics
knowledge of loss control, scheduling, risk management principles and job hazard analysis
thorough knowledge of risk analysis, as well as industry standards, skills and abilities
demonstrated knowledge ofallsafety and health statutes including construction, both foreign and domestic
experience in developing safety training and compliance programs, plant safety, budgeting, guide and to effectively communicate with all levels of management, accident analysis through structured techniques and mitigation strategies
