responsible for ensuring employees are following safety procedures and systems are returned to operating order in minimal time without the loss of product or product quality. good mathematical skills are required. reviews paperwork.
tasks may require individuals to work any shift, weekends and overtime to support production and general plnat maintenance needs. wide variation in equipment and processes requires training and expeirence in plant systems in order to build on aptitude and experience.successful completion of the abbott skills test is required.provides daily assignments to the individual crew members. audit equipment and develop replacement part lists.
provides a safe work environment and sets expectations around safety with direct reports.high-speed filling and packaging machines; making machine adjustments ; timing mechanical systems for proper operation; troubleshooting plc programs; troubleshooting utility systems\' issues; inspect machinery for replacement or repair or worn parts, this involves troubleshooting complex.

job description primary function / primary goals / objectives:
the technical trades crew leader\'s responsibility within the maintenance department is to direct the maintenance personnel in the maintenance and repair of the plant mechanical, elecrtical and calibration equipment and systems in a safe and reliable condition in compliance with all applicable corporate, state and federal codes. backflow preventers, pumps and some facilities maintenance, processing, filling, hvac, total plant equipment coverage includes (but is not limited to): packaging lines, steamers, warehouse.
the technical trades crewleader will also be responsible for performing repairs to production equipment and plant utility systems. provide support where necessary, and make certain all problems are properly addressed, follow up on the progress,
the crewleader must be able to assign tasks appropriately.
work well with little supervision.

participates in shift change and maintenance planning meeting. knowledge of the use of precision tools/instruments is required.be certified for tank entry and lockout/tag out and confined space entry procedures.
major responsibilities:
responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.schedules pms and/or calibrations for the shifts. lead other employees including operators assisting with maintenance tasks; filling in for other department crewleaders; filling in for the supervisor as needed; and providing ojt for people new to the department. procedures, ensures compliance with gmp\'s and internal/external policies, guidelines and regulations.maintenance assignments include: responding to equipment emergencies; performing mechanical/electrical/calibration pms during operation or during periods of scheduled downtime; equipment lubrication; design and fabrication of mechanical items in response to customer\'s work order requests; communicating routinely with line personnel and supervision to maintain knowledge of the latest production schedule; communicating potential equipment problems to production and maintenance supervisors to allow scheduling of repairs; and looking for and implementing equipment and system improvements.innovative thinkers who are passionate about the work they do, abbott employees are representative of the diversity of the patients we strive to serve every single day across the globe.
