title: bottle weights, act, enters results into a computer workstation and works with the mechanic, team lead and supervisor to help maintain the overall department's safety, wall thickness and proper trimming compared to standard
monitor the entire process for flow and makes adjustments to maintain flow
works well as a team member offering process improvements
monitors bottle quality and makes the necessary adjustments to ensure bottle are within specification
performs quality checks, and root cause corrective action methodology to eliminate waste
support the implementation of continuous improvement actions (kaizen); participate in kaizen process and share knowledge throughout the plant

responsibilities:
performs start-ups and shutdown of machines
visually observes product for acceptable quality for such items as color, quality and productivity
assists with any and all changeover tasks
monitors changeover time and implements improvements based of lessons learned
actively participates in tpm and preventative maintenance
other assigned duites as necessary
work as a team in the cell helping to initiate hos through 5s and standard work
maintain work areas and tools according to visual management and 5s standards
ensure 5s process is followed within the cell and maintained daily
have a mind set of continuous improvement culture by instilling plan.the employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. use hands to finger, walk, and talk or hear, while perfroming the duties of this job, hadnle or feel, the employee is regualrly reqiured to stnad.and diivde in all untis of meausre, and decmials

basic qualifications:
high school diploma or ged
a minimum of one month operator experience
additional qualifications:
ability to read two and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
proficient written and verbal communication skills
