Position Description The Navy has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Aegis Combat System Engineering Agent (CSEA) contract, an evolution of the current Aegis Combat System. The systems engineering requirements for Aegis CSEA include system design, development, integration and test, incorporation of capability upgrades, installation support, certification test support, Developmental Test/Operational Test (DT/OT) test support, and delivery to land based test sites and ships. Boeing is seeking candidates to help apply our world-class systems engineering skills and maritime mission system experience to enhance the performance and functionality of the Aegis weapon system by competing for the Aegis CSEA contract. As a Systems Engineering member of the Boeing Aegis CSEA team the selected candidate will provide technical analysis in the support of the development of complex architectures, functional requirements, refinements and product designs for the Aegis Weapon System. Typical responsibilities include: a) evaluates system level hardware and software requirements for the Aegis Weapon System; b) analyzes mission, usability, cost and effectiveness analyses to predict system performance, operational utility and life-cycle cost; c) provides analysis for multi-disciplinary trade studies with appropriate process and tool applications at all levels of system definition, from conceptual design to detailed system development. Additional responsibilities may include participating in technical reviews, supporting risk assessments, participating in risk board activities, identifying and implementing affordability strategies, documenting analysis results, preparing and presenting briefing materials. REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience with a complex combat weapon system such as the Aegis Weapon System.

Typical Education/Experience Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor\'s and 2 or more years\' experience or a Master\'s degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Position requires ability to obtain interim secret clearance prior to start and final secret post-start. Applicants should clearly state clearance level on their resume. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with active secret or higher clearance.
Position may be moved from the Arlington, VA area at a future date.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: System analysis experience with the Aegis Weapon System. Understanding of industry standard systems engineering processes and procedures. Understanding of model based systems engineering principles and tools.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Physics are the preferred degrees.
